LSM 510 Confocal software - version 3.2 upgrade

The Zeiss LSM 510 confocal scanning software has been upgraded to version 3.2, which has brought same new features and slightly different ways of doing what were once familiar tasks.

One striking difference is the requirement to explicitly switch from LSM scanning to Visible mode in order to able to look using the oculars and turn on transmitted, DIC, FITC, TRITC or DAPI modes.

When laser scanning is stopped - LSM mode is still selected. 

Press the Vis button

Then select TRANSMITTED  or  DIC III  or  DIC II  or FITC  or TRITC.  Note: be careful to let the cube carousel to finish rotating in order to avoid getting a blast of HBO lamp light through the oculars.  (Zeiss have been notified of this problem.)
