Demonstration: Nikon TIRF Microscope
Nikon Microscopes in conjunction with Southern Micro are demonstrating the new Total Internal Reflection Fluorescence (TIRF, a.k.a. evanescence wave) microscope system at UNC on Feb. 18 & 19, at 6129 Thurston Bowles (Michael Hooker Microscopy Facility).
This is a through the lens TIRF system, which uses a laser, high NA oil immersion objective, low noise CCD camera and an inverted TE2000 microscope. See http://www.nikon-instruments.com/uk/events/microscopes/tirf_191202.html
