Wet Samples / Protection of Microscopes
Each user must have prior approval in writing to do live cell or wet sample work
Perfusion experiments must be discussed extensively with facility personnel
Users must detail how much solutions are going to be applied and by what means, e.g. syringe, pipetteman, dropper, and especially pump perfusion
Users must always be alert for spills, on the stage, objective turret, microscope body, focus arm etc.
Spills must be cleaned up immediately
Absorbent pads are required on the table unless very small volumes of liquids are being used.
